What You’ll Need
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup vegetable oil
- 1 Cup popcorn kernels
- Salt *optional
Instructions
- Add oil to large pot and set heat to medium-high
- Add kernels and place the lid on the pot
- When kernels are steadily popping reduce heat to medium-low
- Remove pot from heat when popping slows (almost stopped)
- Add salt and enjoy! *Optional
Variations & Storage
- Use other seasoning in place of salt. Get creative, make it spicy, sweet or savory. Just add what you choose to your popcorn and give it a shake.
- Store leftovers in a gallon Ziplock bag or airtight container for up to one week.
- Use leftover popcorn to make a healthy & satisfying snack mix. Add a few dark chocolate nibs, dried fruit, and walnuts or almonds to reusable snack bags. It’s a healthier snack option that will satisfy a sweet tooth craving fast without sacrificing your healthy habits.
