What You’ll Need
- Rubber spatula
- 8×8 oven safe dish
- Mixing bowl
- Wooden spoon
Ingredients
1 block cream cheese (16 oz.) softened or room temp
2 cups sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning
1 small jar salsa (any heat)
1 bag shredded iceberg lettuce
1 bag finely shredded sharp cheddar or Mexican cheese blend (16 oz)
Instructions
1. Add softened cream cheese, taco seasoning, and sour cream to the mixing bowl and use your wooden spoon to combine.
2. Spoon the mixture into the 8×8 dish, then spread evenly with the rubber spatula.
3. Spread salsa evenly as the next layer.
4. Top with shredded lettuce & cheese.
Recipe Notes & Variations
- This can be served warmed or cold, If you plan to warm the dish add lettuce after you remove from the oven.
- Add toppings! chopped black olive and jalapenos are great options
- Add a thin layer of guacamole before you add the salsa
- Use Pico de Gallo in place of salsa
- Add a layer of seasoned refried beans
- Serve in individual cups. Great for larger gatherings
