Making bread at home doesn’t have to be a long-complicated process. Soft and fluffy bakery style rolls are much easier to make than you would imagine. This is one recipe you will want to keep; it is so versatile, you can make multiple options just by changing the shape of your dough.
Recipe Overview
- Prep Time: 1 hour 50 minutes
- Cook Time: 16-25 minutes

- Measuring cups and spoons
- Additional mixing bowl
- Baking sheets
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 – 4 cups bread flour
- 1 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoon – 1 1/2 cups warm water

Notes
- Dust your cutting board very lightly with no excess flour before transferring to the cutting board
- If you let your dough rise for too long the rolls will fall flat. Stick to the 1 hour initially and no more than 30-40 minutes for the second rise.
- Egg wash is optional. You can scramble one egg and lightly brush the top and sides of the rolls before baking.
- Shape your rolls however you’d like, just be sure to keep them all relatively consistent so that they all require the same amount of time baking.
- Store rolls in your fridge for 1 week, bag or container should be airtight.
